Saw this again today in the Nebraska game.
You can't fair catch a ball that hits the ground in the field of play on a kickoff.
Teams have circumvented the fair catch/25 yard line start by dropping the ball past the blockers and in front of the returners and many teams haven't figured that out...allowing the ball to hit the ground and worse...thinking it comes out to the 25 as long as they field it.
12 games into the season and players are still not clued in.
