It's here. The Game. My favorite sporting event of every year.
My favorite memory of The Game isn't a well-known play but it is an incident some of you might remember. In 2013 Ryan Shazier made a tackle on the Michigan sideline early in the contest. As he got up to run back to the field Brady Hoke slapped him on the helmet, kind of like "nice play, kid." I thought it was awesome.
Small gesture that said a lot about sportsmanship, respect, competition etc. Cool. Of course, we won. That helped.
