Three-star 2027 Florida wide receiver Jordan Donahoo commits to Ohio State.
If typical shotgun quarterbacks hypotheticaly fumble the ball once every 30 snaps under center (hypothetical but probably much too high of a rate), they would convert on first downs 27.5 times for each every fumble. And the most likely worst result of that fumble is loss of down/turnover at the line of scrimmage, basically the same as not converting.
If the current rate of 3rd/4th down and 1 success is below 91.6%, then hypotheticaly you should sneak it even with the threat of a fumble built in. And this is with a 1 in 30 fumble rate (probably too high even for shotgun QBs).
This needs to be in Haskins' arsenal going forward due to his struggles with the read option.
