If typical shotgun quarterbacks hypotheticaly fumble the ball once every 30 snaps under center (hypothetical but probably much too high of a rate), they would convert on first downs 27.5 times for each every fumble. And the most likely worst result of that fumble is loss of down/turnover at the line of scrimmage, basically the same as not converting.
If the current rate of 3rd/4th down and 1 success is below 91.6%, then hypotheticaly you should sneak it even with the threat of a fumble built in. And this is with a 1 in 30 fumble rate (probably too high even for shotgun QBs).
This needs to be in Haskins' arsenal going forward due to his struggles with the read option.
