Clemson almost lost at the hands of Syracuse for a second year in a row. Had they done so, I believe the playoff committee would have given them a pass on that loss AGAIN due to their circumstances. I personally think they will stub their toe somewhere (NC State anyone?) and get left out.
Along that same line of thinking, do we think that our Buckeyes will receive some extra credit for the comeback victory over Penn State in a hostile road environment given that our best defensive player, and a future top 5 NFL pick, was noticeably absent? I understand that Chase Young played like a man possessed, but he might not have had the same type of "Next Man Up"/rise to the occasion type game had Bosa been on the field making plays. Then again, the thought of those two both on the field at the same time makes me think we contain McSorely quite a bit more.
Thoughts?
