Postseason Mindset of This Year's Team

For the past six years, Urban has placed a huge emphasis on focusing in on the regular season and putting the team in a position to win a Big Ten Championship. Likewise, whenever the players were interviewed, they'd echo the same mindset of winning the B1G.

However, I've seen multiple quotes from players this year about their goal of winning a national championship. Obviously, every year the team has the goal of winning it all.  But, they normally wouldn't admit that publicly. So far this year, they've been pretty upfront with the media about that goal. Mumford stated that he wants to do whatever he can to help the team bring home a national championship. Other players, like Haskins and Bosa, have stated the same goal on Twitter or in interviews.

As a fanbase, we're not naive enough to think that their vocal emphasis on winning the conference doesn't mean that don't aspire to win the CFP. However, I was curious what you all think are the effects (if any) on the team being so laser-focused on taking home the golden hoo-ha. Maybe they'll be looking ahead too much and slip up against a lesser opponent? Or maybe it'll light a fire under them to finish out the season 12-0 with an average win margin of 50? Thoughts?
