This past week our starting Linebackers recorded 0 tackles for the game… ZERO!!!
Has that ever happened for an Ohio State defense, ever? Zero tackles for the starting LB unit in the box score? Pathetic!

I floated out a few weeks ago that since Bill Davis unit was once again the weakest link of our defense, one of his players should be removed from the field indefinitely. I don’t care which one, non are difference makers.

Shaun Wade, perhaps our best defensive player, does not get on the field until we remove a LB and insert a 5th DB for our nickel package.

If Shaun Wade is determined to be our 5th best defensive back then there is a simple solution, play 5 defensive backs! We will not miss the 0, 0, 0 output up by the starting LB’s.
