As many of you saw, we had a poll question on 11W this morning that led to yet another JT/Haskins debate. I do NOT want to continue that thread here, so no JT talk, please. But I am curious as to where we are as a collective fanbase.
It seems like Haskins is going to have the opportunity to jump to the NFL after this year. Let's throw Tate out of the equation, just because the best he could do at this point is start for three years (not too shabby).
So we have a freshman QB take over next year, and the gods of football come to you and say Ohio State, in the course of that QB's career, can go 49-6 overall, 4-0 vs TTUN, 6-1 in postseason games, win four division crowns, two conference championships, and one national championship. Would you take that (what every other program in the country save maybe two would call unimaginable success), or would you risk the unknown and hope we could be even better than that?
On one hand, those are pretty gaudy numbers, but on the other, we're stringing together elite recruiting classes like never before. Thoughts?
