So we're paying Tulane $1.5M to come up here and get their a$$es handed to them. Why aren't we keeping that money in-state? This is what Jim Tressel used to do I believe, which is why we always played an Akron, Toledo, Cincy, etc. every year. Number one, what a way to show love for your state and support all of Ohio's colleges. Obviously JimmyT didn't control the scheduling, but (without taking an extra 90 seconds to check) it seems like we started playing Ohio schools regularly with him and then it just sorta stopped happening once he left. Number two, it gives all those kids that maybe grew up in OH that always dreamed of playing in the 'shoe a chance to do that if they decide to stay in state for school. Seems like a great way to build stronger relationships with OH high schools and directs millions of dollars a year towards OH college athletics. I mean, we're going to beat the snot out of some hapless team anyways.. why let that money go out of state?
