I hate to be redundant...( as this post was seen by a few..on another thread..my apologies).

I decided to create a separate thread/topic..... as I'm sure there are handful of us Buckeye Fans who will have thoughtful opinions on the matter.

Here we go....

"Why don't the powers that be in the Sports Information Department send out some kind of press release that informs TV announcers, HS, College and Pro Athletes, that "in fact" the complete and official name of TOSU....is in fact "The Ohio State University".

Every year while watching Sunday and Monday Night Football you will see the starters say they are from "THE Marshall University, or THE Boise State University, or THE Oregon University"....they are just plain wrong in using that. They think we are making up the "THE" in naming the University.

Not to mention HS kids who make similar mistakes on National Signing Day. Every year some smart ass kid screws that up and makes and ass out of himself.

This is all easily correctable.
