Matt Finkes only won one pair of Gold Pants during his Ohio State career.
Despite that, the former Buckeye defensive end decided there was someone who deserved to have them more than he did.
Alexsa Dietrich is a 20-year-old Ohio State student who is currently battling cancer. When Finkes saw that on Twitter earlier this week, he decided to send Dietrich a gift: his pair of Gold Pants from the Buckeyes' 22-6 win over Michigan in 1994.
Dietrich's mother, Sandi, posted a picture to Twitter on Saturday of the Gold Pants and the handwritten note Finkes sent to her daughter.
In awe that a complete stranger would give my Buckeye daughter who has cancer such a gift. Speechless... @MattFinkes @OhioStAthletics @OhioStateFB #AlexsaStrong #buckeyesforcancer #BuckeyeNation #GoBucksBeatCancer #GoBucks pic.twitter.com/Wjav8H0uzj

"Alexsa, when I was 20, I was awarded these Gold Pants for beating Xichigan," Finkes wrote. "I can't imagine the fight you are going through at age 20 but I hope this charm is a reminder that I & Buckeye Nation are with you in this fight every step of the way! When you are done with chemo & back on campus, lunch is on me! Cancer Sucks! Go Bucks!"
