We are already halfway through the college football regular season (huge sigh). I think it's not too early to start talking about the front runners for this years Heisman trophy. Here are the guys in the lead IMO through 6/7 games. (No particular order)

Bryce Love RB Stanford: Christian Mccaffrey might be one of the best RB's in cfb history to have not won the Heisman but his backmate last year is turning heads this year.

Jonathan Taylor RB Wisconsin: The kid was 14 yds shy of becoming the first freshman EVER to eclipse 1000 yds in their first six games in college. 

127 att 986 yds 10 TD's, 1rec 17 yds

Baker Mayfield QB OU: Signature win vs OSU (ugh) and defeated arch nemesis Texas.

117/161 72.7 % 1937 yds 17 TD's 1 INT, 39 att 101 yds 1 TD

JT Barrett QB OSU: His candidacy is dependent on signature wins forthcoming but putting up video game like numbers right now.

137/206 66.5% 1827 yds 21 TD's 1 INT, 71 att 370 yds 5 TD's

Quinton Flowers QB USF: lacks a signature win as well right now but has a big battle with UCF forthcoming.

79/148 1118 yds 10 TD's 2 INT's, 102 att 475 yds 6 TD's
