It's payback time.  This prime time tilt has been circled on the calendar for a long time for Buckeye fans.

Ohio State will extract retribution for the embarrassment Rutgers dispensed on the Buckeyes the last time they met.  It was a bad loss for OSU.  Beat up on the boards...no made field goals in the final 6 minutes of the game...and bounced from the Big Ten tournament by a 14 seed.

Oh wait...that was the Big Ten basketball tournament last March.  

Nevermind, this is Rutgers football.  This one isn't circled; it's typed in a dingbat font with a couple disparaging emojis at the end.  Great addition to the conference, Commish Delany...was Stony Brook unavailable to rake in those New York DMA TV households?  There are so many people walking around Manhattan and Long Island proudly wearing their Marco Battaglia Rutgers football jerseys.  They can't get enough of college football...especially Rutgers Scarlet Knights football.  [:)]

Looking at Rutgers schedule this year, at least they got that Morgan State win under their belt so they won't go 0-12.  

Like UNLV, we'll have to look inward during this game - progression of the offensive playcalling and execution...Kendall Sheffield progressing so he can be put out on an island in more threatening games...Mike Weber finally healthy and potentially forming the best 1-2 RB punch in the country...all the young(er) Buckeyes seeing playing time and getting game experience...Nick Bosa recording 10 sacks...B.B. Landers scoring three touchdowns...etc etc.

Personally, I really enjoy these kind of games...I really enjoy every Buckeye football game, actually!  That may come as a big surprise.  [:)]  

This one does count...they all count with conference play...and Ohio State has to win the Big Ten Championship Game this year (most likely) if they want to play in the really big games.  Settle in Saturday night, tilt back a Land Grant for this tilt and enjoy our Buckeyes!
