I want to preface this by saying I love JT as a person and leader and believe he has been an exemplary Buckeye for his entire career (outside of the DUI).
However, I recently remembered the story of how Mack Brown wanted JT to come to Texas and play safety.
This is something that has been laughed at and mocked by Buckeye fans for years now, (including myself). We joked about how Mack was past his prime and lost his ability to adequately evaluate a QB and how he had passed over a diamond in the rough due to a massive oversight.
While JT statistically has certainly proven Brown wrong, JT's recent struggles have made me start to wonder if 'ole Mack wasn't as dumb as we thought he was just a little while back.
Food for thought
