Tressels, Fickells and Urbans,

Where were you at 11:55pm last Saturday?  If you were like me, you were standing on your couch yelling in celebration...trying not to wake up the kids.

It's great to actually have this kind of reaction to a regular season game.

This was the most competitive Big Ten game for Ohio State since 2013 Big Ten championship against Michigan State.  That was a tough Michigan State defense and Jim Bollman (of all people) called a great game against Ohio State that night.

...and, I know that Michigan State beat Ohio State last season, but that was not the best Michigan State team necessarily, as evidenced by the beat down when the Spartans met Alabama in the College Football Playoff.  Ohio State was also not a great team until that wake up call, and then they started rolling for the final games last season.

Since Urban arrived, it has been rare to see a really great Big Ten team take on Ohio State....and you could probably go back to 2006 since there were multiple contenders in the conference.  2016 Wisconsin is a really tough team.  Hard-hitting, sound defense...big offensive line with a great back and QB making perfect, timely throws...very well coached team.  It's infrequent to see a Big Ten team dominate Ohio State for a good portion of the game.

And there are more conference games on the horizon that should be really fun to watch!  Including this weekend against Penn State...this one could be exciting just because it is in Happy Valley in primetime...and Penn State is coming off a bye week.  Ohio State should be the more talented team overall, but Happy Valley is one of the toughest places to play in the country especially at night...even more intimidating than Madison.

We remember all the heroics at night the last three trips to Penn State - Braxton's "mid-air juke," Shazier's pick six and Joey Bosa's walk-off sack.

The Buckeyes got it done last weekend...what a great victory for a young, inexperienced team!  That was a brutal game and neither team backed down.  It came down to a four-down stand in OT from the four-yard line.

This team is worth celebrating and I can't wait to see them take the field with the stadium shaking this Saturday night!
