So as many of you know, the word has been the clap is not signaling the snap count, its simply to signal to the center the QB is ready for the snap. The count is pre determined. If you watched Gruden's QB camp with Cardale, Gruden point blank asked Cardale if the clap was to signify the snap. Cardale answered " Yes" . So which is it? I cant be both?
