Everything I've read about Urban Flippin' Meyer is that he preaches speed. Well, after three recruiting classes he has a very fast team. Running backs are no longer in the mold of Beanie Wells or Carlos Hyde, they are smaller and faster. Wide receivers also have been upgraded for speed.
Can anyone tell me how the game called against Penn State tried to get the Buckeye's speed involved? What is the sense of a speedy offense if you simply hand up the middle, throw lateral passes and the QB runs option? The four prior games, it was all speed on the edges and inside screens.
Anyone think Meyer and Herman are on the same page?
