After we found out that Braxton Miller was going to be out about 3 weeks ago, all we heard from Meyer is that we needed to get the ball into the hands of our playmakers quickly. Last night I only remember 2 quick slants (1 went for a TD). I don't remember seeing any draws, RB screens, or bubble screens. I felt like all we did was throw the ball downfield. We definitely didn't do a great job of getting the ball into the hands of our speed guys. I know C. Smith sucked and Michael Thomas had 98 yards, but here are the stats that intrigued me:
Zeke 8 carries
Samuel 5 carries
Wilson 2 carries
Marshall 0 CARRIES!!!!!
I'm not calling for Herman to be fired but he got exposed last night. He called a terrible game and kind of showed us that Miller and Hyde covered his tail the past 2 years. Last night was a major disappointment especially with all of the major recruits in town.
