Ohio St is currently 13th in NET ranking, 14th in the RPI (I know its not used now but still interesting to see how it differentiates from the NET ranking system.)

Current SOS is 41st, this will undoubtedly increase as conference play ramps up and with a major OOC game against UCLA, would be a huge win come tournament time.

We sit 16th in BPI, and Strength of Record is 16th.

Projected win/loss in conference play is 12-8. This is due to the amount of depth the conference has. Expect a couple upset wins, looking at TTUN as one we will take as well as home against MSU. Which would then project us at 14-6. 

If we win our remaining out of conference games were looking at a 12-1 start to the season, beating UCLA would add another great addition to the resume.

When all is said and done and yes the season is young, Ohio St could get as high as a 2 seed IMO, and IF they beat UCLA will most likely be a lock for the tournament.
