First off, I realize that a fish rots from the head down, but I can't help but think that Manuel has played a huge role in building that cesspool up there over the last 7 years. Smith was and is vilified by many here, but I don't think it can be argued that he didn't have our university's best interests at heart. Just look at the present situations; who won the long game? My question: WOULD and COULD Smith have been able to make a difference there, and what would he have done differently? I'm just very thankful for how things have worked out overall.
