There ended up being several fun games last weekend, though no real shakeups anywhere near the top of the polls.
Hopefully the table is set for a great Rivalry Week.
- Lots of discussion all over the forum about ND, Miami, Oklahoma. Personally I'm keeping ND ahead for now; I really think they've got the mix of talent, coaching, and momentum that make them dangerous again in the playoffs, and there are metrics supporting that which make the whole thing harder than simply comparing schedules. Frankly, I believe in ND much more than I do Miami and Oklahoma right now. Miami has the best chance to add a final key victory that might tip the scales in their favor, but none of these teams will have a conference championship game opportunity to set them apart from the others.
- JMU didn't do themselves any favors and the committee doesn't seem in a hurry to rank them. I like them but I think they'll never really be given a chance to get to the playoffs.
- Haven't talked about the Buckeyes much at all in these posts. They're the best team in nation, and I'm also really dreading Saturday. Please just beat the bastards, I don't care what it looks like.
