Been hibernating a while, starting to get back out there.
College football has been fun this season. One discussion point early on was AP poll voting. I think it all works itself out once we get to the end of the season, but there was some silliness being called out early.
Anyway, got me to thinking if a bunch of dopes get to vote in the AP poll, maybe this dope could give it a try and make my own rankings. It's been a fun exercise, a couple pages worth of scribbles in a notebook each week and enhances that week's viewing experience a bit too.
Figured at this point I'd post here for a bit of "personal accountability" and put it out there since it was the criticism of AP voters that got me thinking on this (and maybe to add on to what's been a fun new mid-week hobby for me).
3 criteria/personal decisions I gave myself:
- Wait until October to make 1st poll (this below is the 5th iteration now)
- Cut it at Top 20 (with 12 team playoff no need for me to spend extra time parsing #22vs23vs24 etc)
- Include (at least) 1 G5 team each week since they'll get a bid.
