Despite massive hype and a reported $12 million NIL deal funded by billionaire Larry Ellison, Bryce Underwood had a rather forgettable outing in his first P4 matchup. The true freshman starting QB for TCUN looked lost and inaccurate against Oklahoma, and the box score reflects that, with Underwood having only 9 completions against 24 attempts for just 142 yards and zero TDs in the prime-time loss to the Sooners. Maybe he will improve, but it looks like TCUN will have to wait a little longer for competent QB play.
