A lot to unpack in this case. For those who haven't followed the case, Retzlaff was accused by a woman of sexual assault. He denies the allegations, saying they had consensual sex. However, the BYU student honor code forbids premarital sex, so he was going to be suspended for some number of games (probably 7) because of that admission. Regardless of what I think about forbidding adults from having sex, those are the school rules and you agree to them to attend that school.
Short version is that he dropped out of the school and will immediately enroll somewhere else. I can hear the NIL money printing presses at a bunch of schools start whirring already. I don't think he's great or anything, but an experienced QB with a track record of success is going to find a home in short order.
Where might he land? What school has a solid team they can put around him where the QB is the "missing piece" for them to compete?
