I'm wondering how you think the GM's view them, not how you (and I) feel. We're too biased. McCord is projected to go slightly higher according to most ratings I have seen, possibly the end of the 3rd rnd. He certainly put up great numbers albeit against poor teams. Howard led a super talented offense to a NC against all the heavyweights. Personally, I really don't think either will likely be viewed as eventual starters, but rather as having backup/spot starter type potential. If Howard's intangibles and leadership are what's important to them, they may go with Will. Either way, I hope for the best for both of them!
