Here is the wrap-up of the dime-a-dozen. pre-Christmas bowls along with the expert betting advice of 11W's own Kevin Harrish.

The Dollar General Bowl in Mobile, Alabama was not for cheapskates– both teams had solid win-loss records-- and it provided valuable bang for the buck.  The 10-3 Buffalo Bulls faced off against the 9-3 Trojans of Troy.  An exciting game saw the Trojans come from behind and score 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to win the bull fight 42-32.  Ole!

Harrish said take the favored Buffalo Bulls, "the best team in the MAC," and give the 2 points to Troy.  I hope you didn't borrow to bet on that.

The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in Ft. Worth, Texas pitted the Army's Black Knights of West Point at 10-2 against the Cougars of Houston at 8-4.  This was a total annihilation along the lines of Custer at the Little Big Horn with the Army smashing and stomping, and then skinning and gutting the Cougars before running them through a meat grinder 70-14. Ouch!

Harrish advised to take underdog Houston and the 6 points against Army.  Well that's another losing bet-- big time.

The Jared Birmingham Bowl in (you guessed it) Birmingham, Alabama had much more tension with the 8-5 Memphis Tigers up against the 7-6 Wake Forest Demon Deacons.  The game was a scoring fest with Memphis on top 28-24 at half time.  After intermission, the Deacons could only score a humble 13 points, but they had the Tigers by the tail as they could only get 7.  So the Deacons pulled out a providential 37-34 win. God bless.

Harrish went with underdog Wake Forest and took the 3.5 points over favored Memphis.  So Kevin has only lost on 2 of 3.  Please don't bet the rent on his picks.  For better advice try calling Art Schlicter

I'll report on the Sofi Hawaii Bowl later-- Sunday your time.  Just think, if Harrish gets lucky, he could break even at 50-50 with his pro picks.  Then again he could lose on 3 out of 4.  Aloha and mele Kalikimaka!
