It's a good time to check in on how Urban Meyer's OSU assistants are doing these days. [Mod edit: Fixed title so it didn't sound like Coach Meyer was the former OSU coach, and corrected a typo for you. Thanks for the quality post otherwise.]
Winners:
Luke Fickell just beat chip kelly and ucla in the rose bowl. For some reason teams are scheduling pac12 games as tunups for the regular season now. After an up and down first year, fickell looks like he finally has figured out how to be a head coach.
Chris Ash just won his season opener against texas state and their head coach everitt whithers and nobody is surprised. Whithers has gone 2-10 the last two years and will probably be fired soon.
Mike Vrabel was just handed the keys to a playoff team in Tennessee the and is in the best position to succeed of all the rookie nfl coaches for two reasons. The first reason is that he plays in a division where the best team's quarterback is Blake Bortles. The other reason is his DB coach is this guy:

Losers:
Bill Sheridan was our LB coach for about three weeks before leaving for the NFL. Anyone who does that is just a loser.
Big losers:
Ed Warinner just had the worst showing of any position coach of any ranked team on national TV. I like the guy but at some point in the last 4 years it's like he forgot how to coach.
Biggest Losers:
Texas Tom, Tim Beck, and Stan Drayton. At some point people are going to figure out that Tim Beck doesn't know how to call plays.
Sir. If you are suggesting that Tim Beck may not be a competent offensive coordinator, then I challenge you to a duel.
The weapon shall be disjointed playcalling, and we will fire at each other from 10 paces for three hours without suffering any harm. https://t.co/D1GbKA6eSg
