Was checking the slate of games this week on ESPN and happened to notice how cheap the tickets are to get into a bunch of pretty high level program's season opener that occur on weeknights. ESPN uses vividseats for what it's worth...
Currently, prices as low as...
Northwestern State @ Texas A&M 3$ (Thursday)
Missouri State @ Oklahoma State 5$ (Thursday)
San Diego State @ Stanford 9$ (Friday)
Western Kentucky @ Wisconsin 18$ (Friday)
I know it's a weeknight, but isn't this pretty embarrassing for a season opener? I remember when we played Marshall in 2010 on a Thursday and the tickets never even got close to those numbers.
Because of these numbers I'm surprised there isn't even more push back Big Ten schools to go away from the Thursday/Friday night games they're starting to push.
