It could be a blessing in disguise that Ohio State gets to play a quasi practice game against UNLV this weekend because all hell is about to break loose. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I sense that we are headed for one of those wild upset Saturdays that happen once or twice every season.
Here are a few mild upsets to get us started:
- Miss St. +5.5 at Georgia, UCF +3.5 at Maryland, at Kentucky +2.5 v. Florida, @MSU +4.5 v. Notre Dame
Big upsets (I see about 2/3 out of 5 of these happening):
- At Purdue +10 v. Michigan, at Iowa +12 v. PSU, at Colorado +10.5 v. Washington, TCU +11.5 at Oklahoma St., at Cal +17 v. USC.
Two crazy long shots (won't happen, but would be hilarious):
- At Vandy +18.5 v. Bama, Old Dominion +28.5 at V Tech.
If the upsets start rolling this Saturday, remember that you heard it here first. But if it ends up being a "chalky" weekend, forgot that you read this . . .
