So I’m from Alaska, and am taking my daughter down to michigan, a place I never thought that I would visit, for a basketball thing in a couple weeks. We were talking about the trip, and she said to me,

Dad, we should commit some hate crimes. 

Which surprised me and perked up my ears a little, and I said What?

She answered, You know, we will be in michigan, so we should do something to the place. 
 

Which confirmed to me that I have raised my kids right, but also, I really don’t know anything about michigan. Should we piss on a statue of Henry Tappan, or into Lake michigan, or get a Connor Stalliions t shirt?  Rob a gas station or what?  Spray paint high schools’ spirit rocks with scarlet and grey?  What is something that would stick in the craw of those people that is not actually going to get my sixteen year old child and I arrested?  Like something done out of hate, but not an actual crime?
