Hello everyone,
A friend, his uncle, nephew and I are flying into Columbus for the Ohio State vs Penn State game and I’m looking for some suggestions on how to maximize the visit as all three of them are OSU fans but have never had the chance to attend a game or visit Columbus before. We fly into Friday night, have an AirBnB close to north campus, and are flying out Sunday early. I attended OSU in the mid-late 00’s but it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been back to Columbus and I know the city has changed considerably.
Any suggestions on good bars to go to, restaurants, areas of campus to visit, gameday tailgating, or pre-game festivities to partake in?
my current plan was to do some bars on high street and visit some of the shops near campus on Friday as they want to buy some OSU gear.
Saturday AM head to campus to show them around some main sights (oval, mirror lake, student union, Thompson Library), then see if we can walk the tailgates near campus before heading to St John for the Skull Session and then the game. Post-game bar hopping and dinner at one of the food halls around campus.
pretty loose itinerary, it is a guys trip after all, but any specific recommendations would be appreciated.
thanks!
