My wife and I have a 10 day trip to NE for the last of Sep into October. We are flying into Hartford, CT and picking up rental car. We have B&B nights booked for near Killington and Burk Mt, Vt., Jackson and Manchester, NH, Bar Harbor, Maine and a couple open nights that I'd like to close soon.

Naturally, we are going to Acadia (2 days) and one open night is along the Maine Coast somewhere. Open  to  any must see/do spots. We are looking for that Norman Rockwell fall painting experience.

I have been to Burlington and Lake Champlain...so not doing any of that. I've heard great things about Willouby Lake and the iconic fall picture near Woodstock, Vt.
