Check out a charity event initiated three years ago with the help of John Hicks after his heart surgery (Unverferthhouse.org/events). It's expensive, but most of the money helps fund a place for the families of heart surgery patients to stay while the family member is in the hospital. (Kind of like Ronald McDonald house, but specific to heart issues.) For those that do not remember, Dr. Unverferth was a OSU quarterback.
Went last year, a guy named Holtz was one of many speakers, it was a great night. Going this year, guy named Tressel is one of many speakers.
Warning! It is held the week of the ickigan game and multiple ickigan players spoke last year too. Will be the same this year, I believe. It puts a different light on the rivalry. Definitely shows the respect the teams have for each other. Another beautiful example of paying it forward by folks from both teams!
