I am not sure if this is an allowable request, but I was wondering if there were any Buckeye foragers that would be able to help me out with a project for my man cave.  I am looking to add some custom decorations using buckeyes to my Buckeye sanctuary;however, I live in an area where they are not indigenous.

If I am willing to road trip out to Ohio to harvest my own, are there any forests or spots that would have a couple hundred buckeyes? If so, when is the best time to collect?  Around me, we have American chestnut trees that everyone swears are buckeyes; yet I know they are only the second cousin .
