Home Networking Issue

I bought a new house and am trying to set up my home network. In my basement, I have a utility box where the internet coaxial cable is located where I get internet from my ISP. I also have 4 ethernet cables that go to various ethernet ports in my house (e.g., living room, office, etc.). Basically where I put the TV, I have a power plug and an ethernet port. The idea is to have the TV connected to wired internet through the ethernet port.

The simple set up is to have the modem and router down in the basement. Connect the modem to the router and the router to the 4 ethernet cables going to the rooms upstairs. The problem is I do not want the wifi router to be in the basement. Does anyone have any experience/ideas on how to connect the wifi router to the system so that it's not in the basement?

Thanks in advance.
