didn't know it then but spent time in fort Lauderdale in the early 80's, didn't realize the wheels were coming off then. woke up in a church bus one morning, lol.the button is still there on the corner of AiA and Las Olas. Still don't get why Penrods closed and the Button is still there, probably the location. Penrods was further north on A1A, mid way of the strip. They had the best bikini and wet tshirt contests. I remember Fort Lauderdale being off the hook just for Columbus Day weekend. Anyway good show of how MTV played a big part in spring break @ Daytona. Channel surfing and couldn't shut it off last night.
