New Years Eve has had the reputation of being the ultimate "Amateur Night." Do you think that the reputation of New Years Eve has actually made it calmer and tamer than it used to be? Do you think that other holidays are challenging New Years Eve as being Amateur Night?
We were talking about this at work. I am of the belief that St. Patrick's Day and Halloween are gaining the Amateur Night reputations more and more. Perhaps NYE has made more people and businesses on guard. St Patrick's Day and Halloween doesn't garner the attention of NYE and things are a bit less formal and structured, which might lead to more problems.
Any thoughts?
