After two months of going through the gammit of doctors and the insurance company, I have finally got the results from the MRI I had done a few weeks ago.
My rotator cuff is 90% torn due to arthritis and bone spurs on the surrounding joint. Basically, the enlarged bone and spurs have cut through the tendon and it's hanging on by a thread. My orthopedic doctor said I need to have it fixed immediately before the tendon tears completely.
Does anyone have any advice on what to expect from the surgery, or what the recovery time is like? I'm a contractor so I am looking at realistically how long it will take me to get back to work.
He is going to reshape the bones and clean out the mess, and he assures me I will be as good as new.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
