Hey Guys,
I don't normally promote corporate charities, or charities in general, and I know we like to avoid politically sensitive topics. However I feel very deeply for the troops we have sent overseas. I have a brother in law in Afghanistan now, and I have lost a good friend in Iraq. Therefore when I saw this email I thought this was a pretty simple, and cheap, way to give these guys a lift over there.
Although most of this only ends up on the rear echelon, the front line troops also receive these emails and when they return to a base or get some R&R they get to go retrieve their coffee. Please read the messege from my brother in law below, and think about whether the coffee you planned to buy today was worth more to you, or to them.
Thanks for your time in reading this!
This is a pretty cool program from Green Bean Coffee. Green Bean is a big supporter of the military and have a coffee house at pretty much any where we deploy. They're in Iraq, Afghanistan, everywhere....sometimes I feel like they beat the Marines there. Anyway, they have a program called "Cup of Joe" where you can buy coffee and Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. On our end, we just sign up and when our name gets to the top of the list, we get an email from whoever bought us a "Cup of Joe" and we go pick up a free coffee. On your end, you spend your hard earned money so we don't have to....great idea. Anyway, here's the link if you're interested.
