I'm moving to Philadelphia this summer to start a PhD program, and I just wanted to write and ask if anyone knew what the state of the OSU alumni group is up there.The OSU DC alumni group is really involved and does a ton of stuff, so I'm hoping the Philly one is similar. I've been perusing their website, but testimonials are always appreciated. 

My wife's family is from the area, so I've got a decent feel for the city in general, but any other recommendations on things to do, places to see, and foods to eat are totally welcome.
