OK, I don't want to wade into the political waters which is verboten, so I will just lay out some options and the 11W family can choose one or suggest one option of their own.
In Ohio texting while driving is a secondary minor misdemeanor with up to a $150 fine. House Bill 637 will make it a primary minor misdemeanor, which means you can pull a driver over just by seeing them text. It also includes no cell phone use in school and construction zones.
So what would you like to see...
- Keep the law as it is now.
- House Bill 637 will make me happy.
- I would like to see texting while driving treated the same way as a DUI.
- I would like to see texting and talking on cell phones (except hands free talking) while driving banned.
- No cell phone usage while driving a car permitted.
