Sometimes, people are the worst.

Austin Peay defensive back Juantarius Bryant – a former walk-on who not only earned a scholarship but finished his career as a two-time All-Conference safety – thought he got an invitation to try out for the Atlanta Falcons.

Turns out, it was just a cruel joke, and he didn't realize it until he arrived at the Falcon's facilities.

"Frustrated with this," Bryant's agent Corey Alexander told ESPN. "And I haven't seen it before. Working in football, I have never seen this happen. So I hope that it ends."

By all accounts, Bryant seems to have taken the heartbreak as best he could, saying "this will not make or break me." At this point, he just wishes to move on.

"I am ready to move on from the situation and respectfully I do not feel like talking about it over and over again," Bryant told ESPN. "Yes, whoever did this to me is very wrong, but I'm moving on from the situation and I forgive them for whatever reason they chose to do it.

"I honestly would not like the person who pulled this stunt on me to be publicly humiliated. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy."
