The last time the Florida State Seminoles played a football game, noted MENSA founder Tom Herman and the Houston Cougars sent them home as two-touchdown losers from the Peach Bowl.

Jimbo Fisher's crew went 10-3 in 2015 with losses to the Cougars, on the road against a Clemson team that played for the national title and to a Georgia Tech team that finished 3-9. By the way, the 22-16 victory over the Seminoles was the only ACC win for the Yellow Jackets.

But this isn't about that. It is about home, where the Seminoles went 3-0 against teams from the Sunshine State — Florida, South Florida and Miami. That unbeaten streak apparently means Florida State earned some state championship rings, which they got today.

Here is another angle of the ring courtesy of longsnapper Stephen Gabbard, which acknowledges the Peach Bowl against Houston, a game the Seminoles lost.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
