Soon-to-be sophomore tight end Jake Butt has torn his ACL in winter conditioning drills and is out indefinitely. Ohio State fans probably remember Butt, as he got busy against the Buckeyes last fall to the tune of five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown.

"Jake's done a tremendous job since he's been here. He's worked extremely hard and gained a lot of weight to become the complete tight end he wants to be. This is a tough break, but because of his work ethic and attitude, the kind of young man he is, we know he will be back as soon as he can and as strong as ever."

This obviously puts Butt's season in jeopardy. Last year, Michigan linebacker Jake Ryan tore his ACL in March and was able to come back by October, but that was quite the exceptional recovery.

Get well, soon, Jake. It's no not as much fun beating Michigan in November if they're not at full strength.
