Gary Andersen left Wisconsin because its academic admission standards were too high to field a competitive football team. It looks like those same standards cost them 2015's No. 17 running back, four-star Texan Jordan Stevenson.

From Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.com:

Wisconsin denied the four-star running back admissions yesterday, as first-reported by 247Sports.com.

According to sources, schools interested in Stevenson once he's granted his release include Alabama, Miami, Nebraska, South Carolina, Maryland, Louisville, West Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, SMU, Oregon State, Pitt and Oklahoma State.

Sure, there's a there are two Big Ten schools on that list, but there are four SEC teams.

Stevenson expects to have his release from his National Letter of Intent by 3:30 p.m. and enrolled in his new school by the end of this weekend.
