Mike Hall Jr. is selected 54th overall in the second round of the NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.
When Nebraska fired Bo Pelini (which was defensible), I, like most people with an operating brain-spine connection, was a bit baffled by his replacement: Oregon State's Mike Riley, a 61-year-old who hadn't loss less than four games a season since 2004.
But, after watching Riley's title game appearance on ESPN's Film Room, I came away impressed with Nebraska's new frontman. He's quiet, but well-spoken (the opposite of Pelini) and the dude clearly knows his football.
And since all good coaches know recruiting is 24/7, Nebraska is out there getting after it today:

Passive-aggressive headline aside, and maybe this is me still being drunk off championship goodwill, but I think Nebraska is going to be alright under ol' Mike Riley. I don't think he'll ever be confused for Urban Meyer, but thankfully for Ohio State fans, we don't need him to be.
