Purdue's Carsen Edwards To Turn Pro, Sign With Agent

Carsen Edwards is turning pro.

After three years at Purdue, Edwards has opted to forgo his senior year and enter the 2019 NBA Draft. In his announcement, he wrote that he intends to sign with an agent, ensuring he will not return to college.

As a junior, Edwards led the Boilermakers with 24.3 points per game. He also had 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Purdue made it to the Elite Eight before falling to Virginia. In the loss, Edwards put together a masterpiece, scoring 42 of his team's 75 points and hitting 10 3-pointers.

Edwards will end his collegiate career with a 3-1 record against the Buckeyes. 

  • March 5: Edwards had 25 points (9-of-16), two assists and two rebounds in Purdue's 86-51 win against Ohio State.
  • Jan. 23: Edwards had 27 points (6-of-16), five steals, four rebounds, four assists and went 11-for-13 from the free-throw line in Purdue's 79-67 win against Ohio State.
  • Feb. 7, 2018: Edwards had 28 points (8-for-13), six rebounds and three assists in Purdue's 64-63 loss to Ohio State.
  • Jan. 5, 2017: Edwards had 12 points (5-for-11) and five rebounds in Purdue's 76-75 win against Ohio State.
