How about the Big Game, huh? Wasn't too big after all, eh? Was that Peyton Manning or Todd Boeckman out there last night? LMAO!!!111 Just a little humor for you guys on this February morning.

Percy Harvin got #bizzy last night, and I was hoping it'd put an end to talk about "the Percy Harvin role" by Ohio State fans, but judging by my Twitter timeline, that won't be the case. Finding somebody to play the "Percy Harvin role" is about as easy as finding somebody to play "the LeBron James role" on the basketball court. Just. Stop. It.

LET'S TALK #CRUITIN. National Signing Day is on Wednesday, so now is a good a time as any to follow Eleven Warriors' football recruiting gurus: Jeremy Birmingham, John Brandon and Jordan Wagner. They've got that #cruitinfire lined up for you guys this week.

Some quick hits from a non-recruitnik:

  • Jamarco Jones took his official visit to Michigan State over the weekend, and the fact he didn't immediately flip to the Spartans is probably a good sign. He was also Tweeting with Jalyn Holmes and other 2014 Ohio State commits and RT'd a Fake Urban Meyer account last night.
  • Malik McDowell, the five-star DE, was on campus this weekend. He and his parents were reportedly impressed with Ohio State and Larry Johnson Sr.
  • Birm, our director of recruiting, said yesterday he thinks both these players end up wearing the Scarlet and Gray.

EZE's FATHER BACK ON THE YOUTUBE GRIND. Ezekiel Elliot's father once again gives us a peek behind the scenes of Ohio State recruitment efforts. We've seen Coach Coombs in his element, and this new video is no different:

Which wall did you want me to run through, coach?

24/7 RANKS CLASS BY ATHLETES. 24/7 has shown a lot of love for Ohio State's 2014 recruiting class. They ranked them No. 1 in linebackers and No. 2 in DBs. (Probably Ohio State's top two needs.)

Another need, however, is pure athletes. But don't worry, Ohio State has those coming in too; in fact, 24/7 says the Buckeyes have the No. 1 class in that regard:

The Buckeyes have the top group of athletes in the country coming in, led by [Curtis] Samuel, a Percy Harvin-type playmaker that was utilized as a running back in high school, but is built as more of a slot right now. Samuel can be used in the backfield on end-arounds and misdirection runs as well as in the slot for bubble screens, where his quickness in space makes him very dangerous. As such, he should be an asset in the return game as well. [Sam] Hubbard has the size and hands to be an asset as a tight end, but looking at his frame, he projects as a rangy outside linebacker that can fly to the ball exceptionally well. [Noah] Brown is a raw, yet exceptional-looking jumbo receiver that should develop into a fine flex tight end/H-Back down the road. Brown has large hands and some big-play potential because of his size and above-average straight-line speed. [Malik] Hooker appears to be ready for a smooth transition to full-time defensive back, where his ability to turn and run could make him a solid cornerback. If he continues to add solid weight, a move to safety is a possibility as well, where his willingness to come up and lay a hit and ability to win the jump ball should be an asset.

DAMNIT!!!!  Another 18 year-old kid compared to one of the most explosive athletes in college football history. This has to stop.

Ridiculous expectations aside, I've heard great things about Curtis Samuel, and any regular readers of mine (hi, Dad) know I'm a big fan of Malik Hooker as well. The future of Ohio State football is bright, my friends.

B1G BASKETBALL IS CRUNK AS HELL THIS YEAR. The parity of B1G basketball this year has been captured by @MattSheehan:

Druuuunk

Wow, Ohio State really lost to Penn State. That was a thing that happened.

WHY DOES THIS TWEET MAKE ME LAUGH SO HARD? Duron Carter probably isn't sleeping well these days, as Mike Thomas is hot on his heels for the title of "Best Ohio State football tweeter in recent memory."

Poor Archie's lil son, indeed.
