D'Angelo Russell, all-star

Two high school seniors who will soon be freshman at The Ohio State University have been selected to participate in the McDonald's All American Game.

Montverde (Fla.) guard D'Angelo Russell and Princeton (Cincinnati) point guard Kelsey Mitchell are slated to play in the high school all-star game, April 2, in Chicago at the United Center. Russell is a five-star player in Thad Matta's 2014 class, while Mitchell is rated as the top point guard and No. 3 overall, according to ESPN, in their 2014 women's basketball recruiting rankings.

Ohio State target and five-star center Myles Turner (Euless, Texas) joins Russell on the East squad. On the women's side, Notre Dame signee Kathryn Westbeld (Kettering) and Kentucky signee Alyssa Rice (Reynoldsburg) are the other Ohio natives selected.
