Mike Conley Sr. - Best Fortnight Ever

Mike Conley Sr. is having one hell of a week.

Not long after he opened his own agency and was certified as an NBA agent, the stock of his son skyrockets and rumors are flying that MAC Management Group, Conley's new agency, could be representing 2 lottery picks in the NBA draft, including the #1 overall pick.

So what does he do for an encore? The Chicago native ran the point to perfection in helping the Windy City lock down the American bid for the 2016 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Conley Sr., one of six members of the Chicago team to present to the US Olympic Committee used "words so eloquent that USOC vice president Bob Ctvrtlik echoed them when explaining the strengths of the Chicago bid."

He's now hard at work securing international athletic events to bolster the city's bid as it moves into international competition from the likes of Madrid, Rome, Prague, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. They'll make the final decision in 2009, so you have some time to get some things done if the suspense is killing you.

Would a second encore in the form of announcing his son is coming back to school be too much to ask?
