While everyone else is still discussing Oden's hard foul against Xavier, Mike Conley Sr., father of the Buckeye freshman point guard, has filed paperwork to create his own agency.
The firm, Mac Management Group, looks to draw on the Thad Five as early clients, but Conley Sr. stressed that this action should not be seen as an indication that Oden has made up his mind about leaving early yet:
“I just need to start putting things in place, not knowing what any of the guys are going to do. They’re definitely going to do something this year or next, so if I’m going to do it, I need to put myself in the position to be ready when the time comes.â€
I'm trying not to read too far into this, but it can't be a good sign for those of us with dreams of Block O running the court again for the Buckeyes next season.

I wouldn't think it changes things too much. There is the possibility that he knows more than us, and that's why he's creating the agency now, but it could also be that he's just covering his bases if anyone is turning pro at the end of this season. It wouldn't hurt anything to have the agency established now if everyone stays in school, and if Oden (or anyone else on the team) is turning pro, this way he's ready.
Basically, you're right that it's not a good sign (a good sign would be "Mike Conley's Greg Oden Staying in School Agency, but I'm not sure what exactly they'd do), but I wouldn't take it as a bad sign, either.
Could be.. I'm just conditioning myself to assume that he's leaving. I know I would be. College is a blast, but sacks of cash are something different altogether.
